OA61408: INCORRECT % VALUES DISPLAYED IN THE MESSAGE DATASET WHEN RUNNING EDGHSKP INVENTORY MANAGEMENT

Error description

• Incorrect % values can be calculated when running the RMM
  inventory management process.  These bad values can be
  represented on the following messages EDG2420I, EDG2421I,
  EDG2424I, EDG2425I, EDG2427I, EDG2428I and EDG2435I.  The
  display created during inventory management which is written
  to the RMM MESSAGE dataset can contain incorrectly calculated
  values with respect to the number of volumes being reported
  versus the number volumes actually in the inventory.

  * The inventory management writes several informational        *
  * messages into the MESSAGE file. Among them there are such as *
  * EDG2427I, EDG2420I, EDG2435I and some others. The messages   *
  * provide information about the percentage of some category of *
  * volumes calculated from some total amount of volumes.        *
  * Sometimes the percentage value provided in the message may   *
  * be incorrect.  For example, the message EDG2427I may state   *
  * that the INITIAL NUMBER OF EXPDT RETAINED VOLUMES  =         *
  * 2910287 and this is 45% of total amount of 3100000, but this *
  * calculated value should be 94%.                              *

  * Apply the applicable PTF(s).                                 *

  The program does not provide correct processing for the case
  where the amount of volumes for the percentage calculation
  exceeds 2147483.
