Problem summary

  • ****************************************************************
    * USERS AFFECTED: All CICS users. *
    ****************************************************************
    * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: The IPCS KE Domain Error Table Summary *
    * does not display the correct MD to show *
    * the appropriate TCB value when an abend *
    * is raised by issuing an EXEC CICS *
    *                      ABEND.                                  *
    ****************************************************************
In contrast to how the IPCS KE Domain Error Table Summary will
correctly show the MD column with the TCB value when a program
check occurs, this does not happen when an EXEC CICS ABEND is
issued. In this case MD can be either blank or incorrect (as a
residual TCB mode from an earlier abend may be presented).

ADDITIONAL KEYWORDS: DFHKERCD, DFHKESTX, DFHKEDUF dfhpd720,
    dfhpd730, TAS_ERROR_MODENAME MODENAME

Problem conclusion

  • DFHKERCD has been updated so that TAS_ERROR_MODENAME is now
populated correctly with the TCB mode, ensuring that CICS is now
consistent with how the TCB mode is reported for both program
checks and abends that are raised by EXEC CICS ABEND.
