Error description

  • High Performance Fast Path Utilities in Fast Path Solution Pack
    V2.1 will be enhanced to process DEDB's that have more than
    2048 areas.
    Note: The listed items below (#1-#8) can occur without the
    DEDB having AREA's that are beyond 2048.  There are some
    error corrections done in this APAR that are not part of the
    New Function. One known ABEND0C4 that occurs is in DBFUMAF0
    at x'A8E' due to R4 containing the chacters of 'DMHR' instead
    of the actual DMHR address (this pertains to an incorrect
    IOARBUFN mentioned in item #1 below).                    S0C4

    * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: This APAR enables HPFPU in FP Solution  *
    *                      Pack for z/OS Version 2 Release 1 to    *
    *                      process up to 9999 areas in one DEDB.   *
    ****************************************************************
    * RECOMMENDATION: Apply the maintenance for this APAR.         *
    ****************************************************************
    The following FP Utilities in FP Solution Pack V2R1 have been
    enhanced to process up to 9999 areas in one DEDB:
    . All the functions of FP Advance Tool
    . All the tools of FP Online Tools
    . Online Space Management utility
    . Online Structure Change utility
    
    Also, This APAR has addressed the following issues:
    1. OAE has been modified to set a correct IOARBUFN to avoid
    possible ABENDS0C4.
    2. OPC or OER job has been modified to avoid possible process
    hanging.
    3. OSM has been modified to specify QUITCI to the SDEP DELETE
    utility when SCANDELT=YES is specified.
    4. OSC has been modified to write diagnostic trace records
    correctly.
    5. OSC has been modified to issue TOSI DBRSYNC command instead
    of /DBR command in OSC internal job xxxxxxD0 to avoid possible
    online change error.
    6. FPA has been modified to freemain internal sort work area.
    7. FPA DMAC Print function has been modified to correctly deal
    with a situation where the CISIZE of ADS is different from that
    defined in ACBLIB to avoid ABENDS0C9.
    8. FPA Reload function has been modified to allow OCHECK=DEFER
    if SCAN=SITE_CREATE is specified, even if PTRCHKLVL=FULL or
    ICOUT=YES is specified.
