  * USERS AFFECTED:                                              *
  * All Db2 for z/OS users that have an                          *
  * 8-byte AUTHID (authorization ID) when                        *
  * connecting to Db2.                                           *
  ****************************************************************
  * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:                                         *
  * New support is added to Db2 to allow                         *
  * an AUTHID to be passed to Db2 in the                         *
  * 8-byte ASXBUSR8 field of the ASXB                            *
  * block when a connection to Db2 is                            *
  * requested.  This support is added to                         *
  * allow IBM products, vendor tools,                            *
  * and other applications that are                              *
  * authorized programs to use the                               *
  * ASXBUSR8 field to pass AUTHIDs to                            *
  * Db2.  Without this new support, an                           *
  * 8-byte AUTHID such as 'USERID78'                             *
  * will be truncated by Db2 to                                  *
  * 'USERID7' and this will cause the                            *
  * connection request to Db2 to fail                            *
  * with an authorization error.                                 *

  Previously, Db2 obtained AUTHID values from the 7-byte
  ASXBUSER field of the ASXB block.  With the addition of the
  ASXBUSR8 field, Db2 also needs to allow AUTHIDs to be
  obtained from the ASXBUSR8 field.

  ASXBUSER field continue to be supported.
