Problem

This document explains how to view the SNTP log files.

Resolving The Problem

The SNTP client and server can be enabled to produce a log file.

To view the Client log file, on the operating system command line type the following:

1.WRKLNK '/QIBM/USERDATA/OS400/TCPIP/NTP'

Press the Enter key.
2.Type 5 next to NTP and press the Enter key.
3.Type 5 next to the client log that you would like view and press the Enter key.

To view the Server log file, on the operating system command line type the following:
1.WRKLNK '/QIBM/USERDATA/OS400/TCPIP/NTP/SERVER'

Press the Enter key.
2.Type 5 next to Server and press the Enter key.
3.Type 5 next to the server log that you would like view and press the Enter key.

Note: The logs files cannot be viewed through IBM iSeries Navigator.
