Problem
This document explains how to view the SNTP log files.
Resolving The Problem
The SNTP client and server can be enabled to produce a log file.
To view the Client log file, on the operating system command line type the following:
| 1. | WRKLNK '/QIBM/USERDATA/OS400/TCPIP/NTP' Press the Enter key. |
| 2. | Type 5 next to NTP and press the Enter key. |
| 3. | Type 5 next to the client log that you would like view and press the Enter key. |
To view the Server log file, on the operating system command line type the following:
| 1. | WRKLNK '/QIBM/USERDATA/OS400/TCPIP/NTP/SERVER' Press the Enter key. |
| 2. | Type 5 next to Server and press the Enter key. |
| 3. | Type 5 next to the server log that you would like view and press the Enter key. |
Note: The logs files cannot be viewed through IBM iSeries Navigator.
