Problem
This document provides detailed steps to place a PTF order using Fix Central.
Resolving The Problem
To use Fix Central, registration must be completed at the following Web site:

Step 1: Select Product Group System i and Product IBM i, i5/OS, and OS/400.
Step 2) Enter machine type/serial number
Step 3: Identify Fixes.
For Cumulative and group PTF choose the release and continue
Individual Fixes
Fill in the fixes separated by commas or white spaces, then click continue
Fill in the fixes separated by commas or white spaces, then click continue
If using Text option, type in a symptom or keyword and continue
If you ordered individual ptfs, you see the following screen, deselect any ptfs you do not want included
Step 4) Download Options - Click continue after selecting.
Important information:
When you use the method of sending your IBM i PTFs to the FTP server as your delivery method, you will receive the 3 emails. The first email will still essentially be the one that says that your order has been received. The second and third emails will contain the information that will be needed such as your user ID, Password and information for you to use to download these PTFs from the server.
