  • Customer is


 running Java 10 in their Windows environment. When connecting
to SEAS with the Webstart GUI on port 9080, they are getting
error message, "class
com.sterlingcommerce.hadrian.common.logging.ProxyLog4j2XmlConfig
 (in unnamed module ...) cannot access class
com.sun.org.apache.xerces.internal.parsers.DOMParser (in module
java.xml) because module java.xml does not export
com.sun.org.apache.xerces.internal.parsers to unnamed module
..."

Problem summary


    

  • When attempting to start the Webstart GUI from a Windows box
with Java 10 installed, it puts out an error message,
  "class
com.sterlingcommerce.hadrian.common.logging.ProxyLog4j2XmlConfig
(in unnamed module ...) cannot access class
com.sun.org.apache.xerces.internal.parsers.DOMParser (in module
java.xml) because module java.xml does not export
com.sun.org.apache.xerces.internal.parsers to unnamed module
..."

    



Problem conclusion


    

  • Switched to use org.apache.xerces.parsers.DOMParser, which is
compatible with Java versions through 10 as well as OpenJDK.

    



Temporary fix
