PH35265: HCAT_TABLEPARTS() MAY SHOW AN INCORRECT COUNT OF PARTITIONS FOR TABLES WITH MORE THAN 32,676 PARTITIONS

Error description

• The HCAT_TABLEPARTS() view returns a maximum number of
  partitions of 32676 regardless of how many partitions are
  actually in the table. The count returned by the view is
  correct up to 32676 but then stops incrementing.
  

Local fix

• Determine how many partitions there really are by other means;
  for example, in hive, the LIST PARTITIONS command will list
  all the partitions and will show a count at the end which
  will tell you how many partitions were found.
