When migrating an existing application from the legacy SCM to the new git and DBB based pipeline, DBB’s metadata repository for dependencies and build results needs to be initialized to be able to benefit from the automated impact resolution of the build framework implementation.
This document provides a checklist of various activities during the migration helping the reader in their own planning and focuses on two approaches to initialize the dependency data and build result history in the DBB metadata store.
