This document explains how to print queries in landscape using the QPQUPRFIL printer file.
Resolving The Problem
Problem: How do I print a query in landscape using the full 14-inch page width?
Action Taken: To determine print attributes on a query processed to print, use the WRKSPLF command, select Option 8 on QPQUPRFIL. To change the attributes of QPQUPRFIL so the query will print in landscape, use the OVRPRTF command. Override the QPQUPRFIL file, and change the page size width to 210, the source drawer to 2, and the degree of rotation to 90. This can also be attained by typing the following command:
OVRPRTF FILE(QPQUPRFIL) PAGESIZE(*N 210) DRAWER(2) PAGRTT(90)
Note: The OVRPRTF command cannot be used to change printing to landscape if a form type has been specified on the Define Spooled Output page in a query definition.
