This document explains when SNADS distributions fail with a CPC8805 rc6.
Resolving The Problem
Problem
The user is trying to send distributions from source system to target. However, the distribution never arrives
at the desired destination.
On the target system:
Display the distribution log (DSPDSTLOG). If no entries are found, check the QSYSOPR message queue
at the target system for message CPC8805 RC6 (SNADS receiver job ended abnormally) for job
022425/QSNADS/BRACH.
Do DSPJOB for job noted in message CPD8805, and look at the job log.
In the job log of the SNADS receiver job, look for message CPF7003 RC3 (QSNADS journal in library
QUSRSYS is damaged).
Resolution
To correct the error condition, generate a new journal receiver for the QSNADS journal by running the
CHGJRN QUSRSYS/QSNADS JRNRCV(*GEN) command.
You should try running the SNDNETMSG command again. DSPDSTLOG at the target system now shows
entries.
