When collecting information about some database problems, it is often useful to see what is in the history log for specific messages. This document lists some of those messages.

When collecting information about some database problems, it is often useful to see what is in the history log for specific messages. It is also sometimes useful to have archived history log information restored before running the DSPLOG command. Messages include the following:
For example, on the IBM i command line type the following:
DSPLOG PERIOD((*AVAIL *BEGIN)) OUTPUT(*PRINT) MSGID(CPF3145)

| CPF1806 | System value &1 changed from &2 to &3. |
| CPF7091 | Entry not journaled to journal &1. Reason code &3. |
| CPF3145 | Access path built for member &2 file &1 library &3 in &4 (time). |
| CPF0965 | IPL options used. |
| CPF0998 | Unattended IPL in progress after abnormal system end. |
| CPI091D | Previous ending abnormal, reason code &1. Watch for rc9. |
| CPI0C04 | IPL from machine area &1. |
| CPF0968 | Restricted State. |
| CPF0994 | ENDSBS *all. |
| CPC1124 | ENDJOBABN issued against job &3/&2/&1 by user &4. |
| CPF0918 | Subsystem active when terminated. |
| CPF3954 | &1 version, release and modification level installed. |
| CPF32A0 | Database file conversion failure. |
| CPF32A1 | System cross reference queue deleted and created again. |
| CPF32A2 | Unexpected data found in system cross reference files. |
| CPF32A3 | System file &1 in library &2 cannot be opened. |
| CPF32A4 | Internal failure in system cross reference program. |
| CPF32D1 | System file &1 in library &2 was deleted. |
| CPF32D4 | System file &1 in &2 was not created. |
| CPF327E | Alternative name for file &1 not allowed. |
| CPI70E1 | DLTJRNRCV required to continue DLTRCV(*YES). Check the rest of the message. |
| CPI70E3 | CHGJRN required to continue MNGRCV(*SYSTEM). Something prevented the normal CHGJRN. It could be a receiver full condition. |
| CPI70E5 | Journal or journal receiver not available. Lock conflict. |
| CPF707E | Journal receiver not deleted due to issue with exit point. See the Complete message. |
| CPF70D3 | Remote journal controlled end completed. |
| CPF70D4 | Remote journal function is no longer active. |
| CPF70D5 | Remote journal function has been ended. |
| CPF70D6 | Remote journal ended, reason code &6. |
| CPF70D7 | Problem trying to attach receiver &3. |
| CPF70DA | Remote journal function ended due to damage. |
| CPF70DB | Remote journal function failed. |
| CPF70DC | Timed out trying to attach receiver &3. |
