Line Printer Daemon (LPD) Flight Recorder Trace Instructions

Troubleshooting

Problem

This document explains how to create an LPD flight recorder trace for developer analysis.

Resolving The Problem

To create an LPD flight recorder trace for developer analysis, do the following:

Note: The following steps and CL commands apply to V3R1 and later and may require that *ALLOBJ, *JOBCTL, and *SPLCTL be run.

Caution: Flight recorder *FILE objects grow without bound (no wrapping). Therefore, if you turn On flight recorders, it is your responsibility to turn them Off. Failure to do so consumes DASD space on the system until the system halts.
