Resolving The Problem
The Portable Application Solution Environment (PASE) is Option 33 of the IBM i Operating System. Prior to V5R2M0, it was a chargeable item and ordered separately. The product was shipped on a separate CD. Beginning at V5R2M0, the PASE LPP is now a no-charge option, and is available on the standard set of IBM i OS install CDs.
To install PASE, use the GO LICPGM command, and select Option 11. Then, select Option 33 of SS1. To find the latest information for the PASE LPP, please refer to the following Web site:
