Problem summary
**************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: All Z APM Connect v6.1.0 users. * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: 1) S0C4-38 abend in applications doing * * SQL calls. Abend may be seen in * * IMS DFS554A message. * * * * 2) S0C4 abend in IEAVBWTO with * * Z APM IMS Debug on. * * * * 3) SDC4 abend while freeing 64 bit * * storage. * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: Apply this PTF. * **************************************************************** 1) Some of the registers being used in 64 bit addressing mode for DB2 had not been initialized and had erroneous data in its high halves on entry from caller. 2) Thread safe storage was not used when writing out a debug message causing S0C4 abend. 3) Invalid address used to free 64 bit storage.
