Error description

  • In mixed AIX/Linux mmbackup operating configs, the
mmbackup command will fail with gskit/ssl errors after
upgrading TSM/Spectrum Protect code to 8.1.11, which
introduced new rpm for gskit 8.0-55.17 that included
some new attributes. This problem happens only in
AIX/Linux mixed cluster. mmbackup generates a script that
calls dsmc and it's to be run on all mixed OS nodes
during backup. The script resets the library path, but
since the environment variable to set library path is
different between AIX and Linux, the script uses the
environment variable for the OS where mmbackup is
invoked. Hence it fails on the nodes with different OS.
