IBM InfoSphere Data Architect no longer supports Big SQL

Abstract

Data Architect 9.1.4 no longer supports the Big SQL database from APAR 9 and higher.
As a result, the Big SQL data models and data assets are no longer supported.

Content

None of the Data Architect features that involve Big SQL are supported.
Some of the commonly used features are the following:
  • Build expressions that provide integrated views across data objects
  • Compare and synchronize changes
  • Create new data models or reverse-engineer from a source
  • Data model transformation
  • Deploy changes to a target database
  • Discover relationships between databases
  • Generate scripts from mapping models to integrate sources and targets
  • Import and export data models
  • Logical and physical data modeling
  • Map relationships between data models
  • View peer relationships between objects
  • Visualize your data models
