Error description

• IMS FDBR TRACKING LOG READ NEEDS TO SUPPORT BYPASS EXTENT CHECK
  TO AVOID UNNECESSARY EXTENT CONFLICT WITH ACTIVE IMS WRITING TO
  SAME OLDS FDBR IS READ ( TRACK SERIALIZATION IS SUFFICIENT ).
  DFSMS APAR OA60658 SUPPORTS REQUESTING BEC FUNCTION FOR BSAM.
  FDBR NEEDS TO SUPPORT THIS FUNCTIONALITY.
  TO SUPPORT THIS, THE BOTH THE ACTIVE IMS AND FDBR NEED TO
  IMPLEMENT THE FUNCTIONALITY. NOTE THAT BEC IS IMPLICIT WITH
  HYPERWRITE.

Problem conclusion

• z/OS APAR OA60658 introduces BYPASS_EXTENT_CHECK for BSAM
  datasets residing on extended volumes.  DFSFDLR0, DFSFDLY0 and
  DFSFDLS0 have  been modified to enable this support which should
  provide a read performance boost for FDBR regions.
  IMS DUMP FORMATTER has been updated to format the OLDS address
  table (OLAT).
