Summary
IBM Security Identity Manager by default installs the self-service user interface (SSUI) during the product installation. However, if you want to remove the self-service user interface from the product (Software Stack), you must take the following steps described in this article.
Steps
Removing the self-service user interface manually
Take the following steps on a IBM Security Identity Manager (Software Stack) environment.
- Log on to the IBM Websphere Console.
- Navigate to Applications > Websphere enterprise Applications
- From the list of Enterprise Application, click ITIM .
- Under Modules, click Manage Modules.
- Select itim_self_service.war , itim_self_service_help.war and click Remove.
- Click OK.
This process might take some time. - On the Enterprise Applications screen, after the process completes, click Save.
- Browse to Environment > Shared Libraries > ITIM_LIB.
- Remove ${ITIM_HOME}/lib/struts.jar , ${ITIM_HOME}/lib/struts-el.jar.
- Apply and save the changes.
- Safely remove struts.jar, struts-el.jar from all the nodes.
- Restart the cluster.
This step removes the self-service user interface completely from the Software Stack application.
Note: Repeat the steps in this article whenever a new ISIM maintenance pack is installed.
