Summary

IBM Security Identity Manager by default installs the self-service user interface (SSUI) during the product installation. However, if you want to remove the self-service user interface from the product (Software Stack), you must take the following steps described in this article.

Steps

Removing the self-service user interface manually

Take the following steps on a IBM Security Identity Manager (Software Stack) environment.
  1. Log on to the IBM Websphere Console.
  2. Navigate to Applications > Websphere enterprise Applications
  3. From the list of Enterprise Application, click ITIM .
  4. Under Modules, click Manage Modules.
  5. Select itim_self_service.war , itim_self_service_help.war and click Remove.
  6. Click OK. 
    This process might take some time.
  7. On the Enterprise Applications screen, after the process completes, click Save.
  8. Browse to Environment > Shared Libraries > ITIM_LIB.
  9. Remove ${ITIM_HOME}/lib/struts.jar , ${ITIM_HOME}/lib/struts-el.jar.
  10. Apply and save the changes.
  11. Safely remove struts.jar, struts-el.jar from all the nodes.
  12. Restart the cluster.
    This step removes the self-service user interface completely from the Software Stack application.
Note: Repeat the steps in this article whenever a new ISIM maintenance pack is installed.
