APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • If background deletion queue is full, then a full scan
    deletion is required to free the inodes marked for
    deletion. In some cases, the full scan deletion fails to
    run and the inodes don't get free until the next
    invocation of full scan deletion or node recovery.

    Full scan deletion now correctly triggers after
    background deletion queues become full and
    inodes marked for deletion should get processed.
    
    Work around:
    mmfsadm dump deferreddeletions
    mmfsadm test imapWork <fs> fullDeletion
    mmfsadm dump deferreddeletions
    
    Problem trigger:
    A lot of inodes are deleted on a node which
    overflow background deletion queues.
