Error description
Clicking the "Test connection" button that tests the Windows Warehouse Proxy Agent connection to its ODBC Driver fails with the following error popup message displayed to the user, JDBC driver cannot be loaded sun.jdbc.odbc.JdbcOdbcDriver
Local fix
Click "OK" in the popup message. This failure only affects the testing of the connection. The connection between the Warehouse Proxy Agent and its ODBC Driver that is used during the normal functioning of the Agent is not impacted.
Problem summary
Clicking the "Test connection" button that tests the Windows Warehouse Proxy Agent connection to its ODBC Driver fails with the following error popup message displayed to the user, JDBC driver cannot be loaded sun.jdbc.odbc.JdbcOdbcDriver The Warehouse Proxy Agent Windows configuation utility relies on the JDBCODBC bridge jar file from the JRE package to test connectivity to the Windows ODBC Driver Manager. Release 8 of the JRE, which is packaged with 630 FP7 SP3, no longer contains this jar file.
Problem conclusion
Replace the JDBCODBC Driver method calls with a native function that performs the connectivity test. The fix for this APAR is contained in the following maintenance packages: | service pack | 6.3.0.7-TIV-ITM-SP0006
