Checking Group PTF Level Replaced and Installed

Troubleshooting

Problem

This document explains how to use the history log to find the replaced and installed Group PTF levels.

Resolving The Problem

After installing a Group PTF, the new group PTF level is shown. Unless users take a screen shot or made a printout prior to installing the new group level, many users do not know how to determine what the previous group level was.

When a group PTF is installed, the following message are posted to the history log:

CPI35E9 gets posted as the 'old' group level gets deleted.
CPI35E8 gets posted to list the 'new' group level being created.

Example:
A user has SF99503 Level 10 currently installed. Then the user obtains media or a .bin file and types GO PTF, Option 8. First, the user sees message CPI35E9 posted in QHST stating that PTF group SF99503 level 10 was deleted. This is followed by message CPI35E8 stating that PTF group SF99503 level 11 was created (or whatever later level is being installed).
