QRadar: Why is my browser showing a notification "There is a problem with this website's security certificate"

Question & Answer

While attempting to log in to the QRadar® Console, a message is displayed, "There is a problem with this website's security certificate. The security certificate presented by this website was not issued by a trusted certificate authority."

Browsers are starting to enforce 398-day limits on certificates.

Administrators need to keep track of when they apply for the certificate and update them yearly. If a user sees a similar message, they need to reach out to their administrators and verify that the certificate is not expired. If the certificate is valid and not expired, the issue might be something else such as an SSL common name mismatch or corrupted certificate.
If the certificate is expired, administrators need to acquire a new valid certificate and install it. To update the certificate, use the instructions from the IBM® Knowledge Center on creating and Installing a New Certificate.
