How To
Summary
Instructions for deactivating selected devices in bulk from the MaaS360 portal. Once a device record is inactive, it cannot be retrieved. This action is final.
Please Note:Inactive device records will remain in the portal for audit purposes. If you would like to delete the the audit record, there is no bulk method to do so and must be done individually per device record AFTER the deactivation steps. Additionally, once an audit record is deleted, the information is no longer retrievable under any circumstances.
Steps
Navigate to the Device Inventory and select Inactive from Managed Status to display devices available for deletion. The scope may be narrowed further by selecting other fields, but only Inactive devices should be displayed.

Select the checkbox next to devices to be deleted and select Save As Group.

Give the group a name that will easily identify it and save.

Navigate to the Groups page in MaaS360 and locate the device group just created. It will list 0 devices in the group - this is expected. If there are active devices listed in the group, this action will not complete successfully.

From the More dropdown menu, select Hide Devices. This action will complete overnight and the device records will no longer appear in the portal the following day.
