Question
Information Server のインストール・プログラム(setup)は、サービス層としてWebSphere Application Server Network Deploymentを選択した場合、IBM Installation Managerのコマンド(imcl)を使用してWebSphere Application Server Network Deployment をインストールします。
この時、IBM Installation Managerはインストール情報を /var/ibm/InstallationManager(エージェント・データのロケーション) 以下のファイルに保持します。
またIBM Installation Managerは、WebSphere Application Server Network Deployment のインストールだけではなく、その他のIBMソフトウェア製品のインストール/アンインストールでも使用されます。
Information Server をインストールする前またはインストールした後、別途IBM Installation Managerを管理者モードでインストールして、そのIBM Installation Managerを使用してソフトウェア製品をインストールした場合にも、/var/ibm/InstallationManager 以下にそのインストール情報が保持されます。
上記のことを踏まえ、Information Server のソフトウェア削除プログラム(<IS_INSTALL>/_uninstall/uninstall)を使用して(サービス層を含む)Information Server をした場合、 /var/ibm/InstallationManager 以下のWebSphere Application Server Network Deployment のインストール情報は削除しますが、/var/ibm/InstallationManager は削除しません。
これは、上記で説明したIBM Installation Managerは、その他のIBMソフトウェア製品のインストール/アンインストールでも使用されており、その情報が /var/ibm/InstallationManager に保持されているためです。
Information Server アンインストール後、同じ環境に再度インストール・プログラム(setup)を使用してInformation Server をインストールする場合、インストール実施前またはインストール実施時の /var/ibm/InstallationManager への対応を説明します。
