APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• User has auto-start macro set in the display session WS file
  that does Run Applet function. After upgrade from PCOM 12.0.2
  to 14.0.2, the auto-start macro no longer works. The Actions ->
  Run Java Applet menu item is also missing from the display
  session.
  

Local fix

• Restore missing JRE Path registry key.

  key JRE Path under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\IBM\Personal
  Communications\CurrentVersion\ is not getting created which
  causes Run Java Applet option under Actions menu in launched
  session to not be available.
  

Problem conclusion

• The required JRE Path registry key is added back to the install
  logic and Run Java Applet option under Actions menu is available
  in a session.
