Troubleshooting
Problem
Customers upgrading to Cognos Analytics 11.1.6, or a later release, do not get expected results for their reports (created in Report Studio) that uses Compatible Query Mode (CQM). This occurs when an auto FOR clause of a summary function does not get expanded properly as Cognos SQL is generated.
A typical problematic report contains one or more data items in the report layout such that the data item Detail aggregation property set to any value other than None. For example, the value is a summary function such as Total. In the corresponding XML report specification, the data item has the aggregate attribute set to the same summary function total.
