Error description
The front-end capacity estimate value reported by the Operations Center has misleading values for Data Protection for Microsoft Exchange versions lower than 7.1.3 when installed together with Backup-Archive Client version 7.1.3 and lhigher versions. IBM Spectrum Protect versions affected: IBM Spectrum Protect Backup-Archive Client version 7.1.3 and higher, and version 8.1.x. Local fix
When calculating the front-end capacity, apply the following calculation in order to get proper values: 1. Note the front-end capacity estimate value reported by the Operations Center. Call this value F. 2. Compute the invalid protected size for Data Protection for Microsoft Exchange that is stored on the server by using the following select: - using the IBM Spectrum Protect administrative client command-line (dsmadmc), run select sum(fe_capacity) from tsmgui_allcli_grid where name in ('<tdpexchange1>', '<tdpxchange2>')" where tdpexchange1,tdpxchange2 are the name of the Data Protection for Exchange Server nodes or DAG nodes if it is DAG environment. Call this value I. 3. Obtain the valid protected size from the Microsoft Exchange databases by running the PowerShell dsmfecc-06.ps1. script for Microsoft Exchange. Call this value V (Refer to the "IBM Spectrum Protect Suite Front End: Licensing Guide" for more information about front-end licensing and the dsmfecc-06.ps1 script ) 4. Compute F - I + V. That is, start with the total size F from the Operations Center (OC). Subtract the invalid Data Protection for Microsoft Exchange value I. Then add the valid Data Protection for Exchange value V. Note: If you have any IBM Spectrum Protect Data Protection for Exchange at 7.1.3 or later, then step 2 should be done only for the versions below 7.1.3. An alternative is to subtract all Data Protection for Exchange protect size reported on the server and use the dsmfecc script ( dsmfecc-06.ps1) on all the Exchange databases, regardless of what version of Data Protection for Exchange is used.

Problem conclusion
