Event Isolation and Correlation disabled

Question & Answer

Question

Why is Event Isolation and Correlation not accessible after installing Impact Fix Pack 20?

Cause

Starting with FP20 release of Tivoli Netcool/Impact, Event Isolation and Correlation has been disabled, by default.

Answer

Features for event reduction have been introduced in recent releases which reduce, or likely eliminate the requirement for Event Isolation and Correlation.
Scope Based Grouping and Related Events provided with NOI Extension provide ways to group events with On-Prem releases with NOI Extensions. On OCP, Scope Based grouping is also provided with NOI releases as well as CNEA (Cloud Native Event Analytics).
If Event Isolation and Correlation is still required, please contact support for how to re-enable this feature.
