Problem
I am attempting to edit an import specification in iBase User.
When I click the Connection: OLE-DB Data Source... button, I receive the error.
Initialization string cannot be retrieved from iDataInitialize. Class not registered
Error #-2147221164 occurred in:
DataLinks
FImport:cmdOLEDB_Click
Symptom
You can successfully create a new import specification on this client machine.
This error may be specific to one client machine, while other users do not get this error. If possible, check to see if the client machine that was used to create this import specification receives the error.
Cause
The client machine running iBase User does not have the OLE-DB provider that is specified in the import specification.
Resolving The Problem
If you are able to open the import specification from another client machine, check to see which OLEDB provider is specified.
Install the missing driver.
Alternatively, you may change the specified driver to a different driver, such as "Microsoft OLE DB Provider for SQL Server".
