PowerHA SystemMirror EE 6.1 SP3 adds Hitachi TrueCopy Support

 IBM PowerHA SystemMirror for AIX Enterprise Edition adds support for the Hitachi Universal Storage Platform V/VM (USP V/VM) September 10, 2010IBM PowerHA SystemMirror for AIX* Enterprise Edition (formerly HACMP*) V6.1 for AIX V5.3 and V6.1 adds support for the Hitachi Universal Storage Platform V/VM (USP V/VM).Hitachi Storage systems provide short distance replication and long-distance replication through Truecopy® synchronous and asynchronous replication with Hitachi Universal Replicator (HUR) technologies. PowerHA SystemMirror Enterprise Edition enables integrated discovery and management of mirrored resources for management of Highly Available (HA) resource groups in support of high availability and disaster recovery.

 Important: This support is initially for direct attach only. 

Clients are advised to obtain the latest available service updates from IBM and Hitachi to use this new feature.

There are new install images required for this exact support. Performing a typical "update_all" on SP3 will not install them. You must perform and "install_all" and include:
cluster.es.tc 6.1.0.0 ES HACMP - Hitachi support - Runtime Commands 6.1.0.0 ES HACMP - Hitachi support Commands
cluster.msg.en_US.tc 6.1.0.0 HACMP Hitachi support Messages - U.S. English
The following Hitachi software/microcode is required for this support:

USPV Mircocode Level 60-06-05/00, or later.

CCI version - 01-23-03/06 or later
