APAR status

Error description

• This APAR addresses two issues with RUN JCL generated via
  the Change Management panels:
  
  1) Run JCL generated via an Analyze job includes the default
  jobcard, instead of the jobcard saved under Batch Parameters.
  
  2) The ER (Edit Run) line command on panel ADB2C11 replaces the
  BINDERROR value specified in Batch Parameters with the default
  value 'MAXE'.

  * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: This problem has two related symptoms:  *
  *                                                              *
  *                      -The execution JCL generated from       *
  *                      running a change ID analysis has a JCL  *
  *                      job card that is different              *
  *                      from the job card in the user's batch   *
  *                      job utility parameters.                 *
  *                      -  For a simple table change,           *
  *                      the generated JCL for implementation    *
  *                      and backout contains the parameter      *
  *                                                              *
  *                      BINDERROR='MAXE'.  However, the Batch   *
  *                      Job Utility Parameters panel contains   *
  *                      the setting BINDERROR='IGNORE'.         *
  ****************************************************************
  Two closely related issues might occur:
  
  -  The JCL job card in the run execution JCL that
  was generated by a change analyze job is different than
  the job card in the user's batch job utility parameters.
  
     -  The run execution JCL (shown by line command 'ER' on
  the WSL panel) contains the parameter BINDERROR = 'MAXE'
  even though the user's setting for BINDERROR on the Batch Job
  Utility Parameters panel is 'IGNORE'.
  

Problem conclusion

• The problem has been resolved.
