Error description

  • At present, Hierarchical stage (REST Step) is unable to post or
    receive data size of more than 10MB. This limit will be made
    configurable through a environment variable so that customers
    can modify the limit depending on the requirement.
    

Local fix

Problem summary

  • The amount of data that can be posted/received using REST Step
    in Hierarchical Stage is limited to 10 MB, which is hard coded
    in the source and not configurable. This is causing issue to the
     users who need to post/receive data more than 10MB. After
    applying this patch, user will be able to modify the limit using
     XMLSTAGE_REST_CONTENT_MAX_SIZE environment variable.
    

Problem conclusion

  • We have added an environment variable
    XMLSTAGE_REST_CONTENT_MAX_SIZE which can be used to override the
     default limit of 10MB. Customer can set this at job level or
    project level similar to any other environment variable and
    increase the limit of body content as per their requirement. An
    integer value greater than 10 (ex. 30, will set the limit to
    30MB) is accepted and in all other cases the limit value
    defaults to 10MB.
