QRadar software supports Logical Volume Manager (LVM) expansion for new installations only, starting with the versions listed:
This feature is exclusively available for
QRadar version 7.5 Update Pack 11 (UP11 or Build 20250122185136) and higher for Software Installation
QRadar version 7.5 Update Pack 14 (UP14 or Build 20260211194805) and higher for Appliance Installations.
QRadar is installed by using either the Software Install or Appliance Install method. To identify the installation type for QRadar, type the following command:
/opt/qradar/bin/myver -itTo identify the version, which was used for installation, so if LVM expansion is supported, type the following command:
/opt/qradar/bin/myver -ivLVM support is not automatically available for existing systems that are installed at a version earlier than 7.5.0 UP14, even with the QRadar 7.5.0 UP14 software installed. To enable LVM support on an existing system, the factory-reinstalled ISO must be replaced on the recovery partition.
