PQ69854: JCL ERROR FOR ICE WHEN NOT USING GDGS

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• JCL error for ICE when not using GDGs
  I opted for disk, non-GDG IC datasets. In this case Control Suit
  not generate DSN= or SPACE= parameters for the IC dataset(s). It
  out that &ICTYP = D* is not catered for in skeleton IDLICEDD.

  THIS APAR INVOLVED TWO PROBLEMS WITH THE ICE IMAGE COPY JCL
  GENERATED BY THE CONTROL SUITE BACKUP DATABASES FUNCTION.
  1.'HDPC=(Y,HISTORY)' FOR POINTER CHECKING WAS INCLUDED ON THE
  IC STATEMENT, BUT THE JCL DID NOT INCLUDE THE HIGH PERFORMANCE
  POINTER CHECKER (HPPC) LOAD LIBRARY IN THE STEPLIB
  CONCATENATION. THIS CAUSED THE ABENDS806.
  2. THE SPACE= AND DSN= PARAMETERS WERE OMITTED FROM THE JCL FOR
  NON-GDG IMAGE COPY DATASETS.
  

Problem conclusion

• JCLPDS MEMBERS, IDLICEC3, IDLICEDD, AND IDLICEST, WERE MODIFIED
  TO CORRECT THESE PROBLEMS.
