Problem summary

  • ****************************************************************
    * USERS AFFECTED: All users of IBM IMS High Performance Unload *
    *                 for z/OS Version 1 Release 2 (FMID=H1IN120). *
    ****************************************************************
    * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: Support a new format of unload data set *
    *                      for HALDB                               *
    ****************************************************************
    * RECOMMENDATION: Apply the maintenance for this APAR. *
    ****************************************************************
*CS format cannot be used for a HALDB with secondary indices.
This APAR provides a new format of unload data set which is
named as *CP format to support a HALDB with secondary indices.
If you want to use this new format of unload data set as input
to High Performance Load or IPR Reload, you have to apply APAR
PK95918 for IMS High Performance Load V2R1.
In addition, the following messages which warn about the size of
DBDS in comparison to the RAA size are eliminated:
      FABH0431W FABH0432W

IMS High Performance Unload for z/OS Version 1 Release 2 User's
Guide SC27-0936-06 ( SC27093606 ) should be changed as follows:
    ================================================================

1.4.5 Selecting a format for the unload output
FABHURG1 can unload a database in any of five formats, *HD,
    | *CS, *CP, *F1, *F2, and *F3.
       :
     Subtopics:
       1.4.5.1 *HD format
       1.4.5.2 *F1 format
       1.4.5.3 *F2 format
       1.4.5.4 *F3 format
       1.4.5.5 *CS format
    | 1.4.5.6 *CP format

      1.4.5.5 *CS format
The communication industry standard format. This format is
usable as input to IPR Reload or High Performance Load.

       Notes:
    | The unloaded file in this format cannot be used for
    | reorganization under the following conditions:
    | - If a logical relationship is defined in the database.
    | - If the database is a HALDB and a partitioned secondary
    | index (PSINDEX) database is defined.

    | 1.4.5.6 *CP format
    | The communication industry partitioned format. This format
    | can be used as input to IPR Reload or High Performance Load.
    | This format is useful if the database is a HALDB with
    | partitioned secondary index (PSINDEX) databases.
    |
    | Note: If a logical relationship is defined in the database
    | and the database is unloaded in *CP format, you cannot
    | use the unloaded file for reorganization.

      1.4.7.1.4 FRMT control statement

       :
      Position Description
       :
       6
Code the output format name, which can be either of the
        following:
-The name of one of the standard formats provided by the
    | utility: *HD, *CS, *CP, *F1, *F2, or *F3. The default is
the *HD unload format, for which you do not need this
         statement.
-The load module name of a user record-formatting routine
(see "Writing user record-formatting routine" in
         topic 2.4.4).

      4.4.2.1 FABH messages

    | FABH0285E OUTPUT FORMAT *CP IS NOT SUPPORTED FOR THIS
    | DATABASE: DBD=dbdname
    |
    | Explanation: This message is issued if the *CP format is
    | specified for a database that is not a HALDB.
    | System Action: Program FABHURG1 ends abnormally.
    | Programmer Response: Use an unload format other than *CP.

    DEL:
    | FABH0431W WARNING: RBN VALUE IN DBDGEN (RMNAME=KEYWORD) IS
    | LARGER THAN DB-DATASET SIZE
    |
    | FABH0432W THE SIZE OF PRIMARY DATA SET IS LESS THAN THE
    | DEFINED RAA SIZE (partname, hbn)
