APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • When a user issues an order in CSM (customer's application)
with incorrect data and they press the SHIFT+F11 key to

retrieve the data they are disconnected from IMS. The users
are getting a PROG753 error when entering the invalid
data.
Users need to close the PComm session and star
over.

Users used as a solution editing the WS file then adding
the parameter:
 [LT]
 IgnoreProgError=Y

However this did work
because case Field Outlining in IMS is not being handled
correctly by the parameter.
Field Outlining is an Extended
field attribute that allows the users to emphasize a field by
putting a line on it.

PCSLT.DLL has been updated to include
the handling of case Field Outlining.
Adding the above
parameter will ignore the PROG753 error going forward when the
next fix pack has been applied.

Problem conclusion


    

  • PCSLT.DLL has been changed to handle the PROG753 Error with
respect to Field Outlining case when IgnoreProgError=Y keyword
is added to the WS profile [LT] section.
