A recent update of Chrome 86 has introduced issues which prevent the normal operation of reporting and other aspects of Cognos Analytics. We recognize this issue impacts many clients who use Chrome in conjunction with Cognos Analytics so we wanted to provide you with details around this situation.
- Google/Chromium is expected to begin rolling out their fix later this week. Please refer to the Chrome defect for details.
- IBM is targeting to release an Interim Fix for Cognos Analytics 11.0.13 on October 22 to workaround the Google defect
Please be aware the following 2 APARs are NOT related to the Chrome 86 defect. Fixes for both of the below are included in Cognos Analytics 11.1.7. These were originally included in the below table and have now been removed:

- Use an alternate browser
- Upgrade to Cognos Analytics 11.1.7 Fix Pack 1 as the issues do not exist with this release
