How to Edit Job Authority Through the Advanced Job Scheduler

Problem

This document explains how to edit job authority through the Advanced Job Scheduler.

Resolving The Problem

To edit job authority through the Advanced Job Scheduler, you should do the following:

1.

Issue the GO JS command.
2. Select Option 1. Work with Jobs.
3. Press Enter on the Work with Jobs Using JS (WRKJOBJS) screen.
4. Select the job using Option 13=Edit job authority.
5. Add user and authorities, and press Enter.

To edit the authorities using IBM Navigator for i, you should do the following:

1. Select Work Management

2. Then Advanced Job Scheduler

3. Click on Scheduled Jobs

4. Right click on job in question and select Permissions
5. Edit a current users authority or click New and add a new user and click OK.
