How To
Summary
SSH2 protocol uses a low buffer size for transport and it can be improved with two options.
Objective
Improve SFTP client transfer performance
Steps
1) Activate zlib compression to reduce the amount of data that is transmitted
2) Override the SFTP client-side settings with a higher buffer size. Our SFTP Servers can accept a maximum of 131072 buffer size and this setting can speed your performance by up to 4x more.
Important note: there are many variations of the SFTP Client and each SFTP client is different. You will need to refer to your SFTP client documentation and support for the client configuration to check whether those possibilities are available.
