How to change the default port (9012) used by Planning Analytics Administration Agent ?

How To

Summary

The Planning Analytics Administration Agent (PAAA or PAA Agent) is run through a Windows service named "IBM Planning Analytics Administration Agent" which is a based on Websphere Liberty Profile (WLP).
This java-based service is listening on port 9012 by default.
Planning Analytics Workspace communicates with this service when the "Administration" menu is activated from the Welcome page of Planning Analytics Workspace.
The container that communicates with PAA Agent is the "monitor" container, which expects from the PAA agent to listen on port 9012.

For now there is no easy supported/documented way to change that default port.
This document describes a method to achieve this, in case changing that port number is mandatory.

WARNING: this method involves modifications in an existing container. If for any reason, the containers are deleted and re-created, then the provided steps must be applied again (for the Workspace part)
