ABEND0C9 when processing physical sequential sort for a DB which
has many virtual segments and short segment.
HP Load calculates the average segment size for estimating the
size of sort work. In the above condition, HP Load counts the
number of virtual segments in the total number of segments for
the calculation. As a result, the average segment size rounds
down to zero. The S0C9 occurs because the value is used for
    the division process.

Problem conclusion

  • HP Load is modified not to count the number of virtual segments
in the total number of segments for the calculation of the
    average segment size.

HPSR3649I AVERAGE SEGMENT LENGTH FOR SORTWK ESTIMATION IS
              ROUNDED UP

Explanation: The average segment size is calculated for
estimating the size of sort work, and the value is rounded up.
System Action: IMS HP Load continues processing.
