Error description

  • In recent versions of IMS (since HLASM), member DFSIXSB4 in
DFSSLIB creates an ASMUTIL entry for SMP which has the HLASM
option FLAG(NOPUSH) specified which would make assemblieswith
PUSH STACK diagnostic messages complete RC=0. The current IMS9.1
release is no exception, however if the customer not install via
the INSTALL/IVP ISPF dialog and instead chose to new DFSALB job
found in DFSISRC, the FLAG(NOPUSH) option is no longer specified
for the ASMUTIL entry, so there is a bit of a conflict with the
options specified. Depending on the method the customer chooses
to install the new version of IMS, the PUSH STACK diagnostic
message may or may not result in the non-zero return code.
