Error description

  • High Performance Load issues message HPSR0030I RAP ASSIGNED OUT
OF PHYSICAL SEQUENCE even after running PSSR.
This problem in PSSR occurs if all the following conditions are
    satisfied:
-PSSR is running under non-IMS environment (using FABSPSSR
     procedure.
-Segment edit/compression exit is defined to the root segment.
-DECN is specified in the HSSR step.

Local fix

  • The workaround for this problem is to invoke with FABSPSSI
procedure. The FABSPSSI is a procedure that runs under IMS
    environment.

    ****************************************************************
PSSR recognizes the start position of root key two bytes
ahead of the right position, if all of the following
    conditions are satisfied:
     - PSSR is running under non-IMS environment (using FABSPSSR
       procedure)
     - Segment edit/compression exit is defined to a root segment.
     - The root is fixed-length segment.
     - DECN is specified in the HSSR step.
Therefore, PSSR sorts the unloaded records out of physical
    sequence.

Problem conclusion

  • The modules FABSRT15 have been modified to recognize the start
position of root keys and sort them correctly.
