SQL0051N error code is returned in QMF while trying to save QMF objects to the database.

Troubleshooting


Problem

The following error is returned in QMF for Workstation when trying to save a QMF object (Query, Procedure, Forms) to the Db2 database:

REP01004. The following error has occurred while accessing database. DAL01008. An error occurred while accessing the database.
SQL0051N; <userID> does not have the prigilege to perform operation UPDATE on object Q.OBJECT_DIRECTORY.TYPE

Symptom

QMF for Workstation and WebSphere users working with QMF objects such as Queries, Procedures or Forms, will fail trying to save these objects back to the Db2 database. Users are able to perform other tasks without any issue.
