ITNCM delays, due to waiting on database connections, causing Service UOW execution issues.

Troubleshooting


Problem

Customer reported that service UOWs were taking too long to process.  This resulted in a huge volume of UOWs stuck in "work waiting to execute" queue, that never complete.  This ultimately causes drops and uncompleted orders in their api code.
