Troubleshooting
Problem
You may enable the remote poller cacti.log but you find the cacti.log file is empty.
Resolving The Problem
You can correct the issue with the following procedure:
1. Login to the remote poller host.
2. Run the following command:
ps -ef | grep lsfpollerd
to check the effective user of the lsfpollerd service. The effective user should be apache by default.
3. Please note, your lsfpollerd service may run in a different effective user which depends on your installation configuration.
4. Change the owner and group of the cacti log file to apache with the following command:
chown apache:apache cacti.log
