Abstract

IBM Tivoli Netcool/Impact 7.1.0. FP19 Interim Fix 7 addresses several critical security fixes and JazzSM 1.1.3 FP8 support for NOI 1.6.2 release.

Download Description

Before installing the V7.1.0.19 Interim Fix, review list of defects, pre-req, installation instructions in the readme file.

This Interim Fix addresses the following defects:

  • IJ26214: HTTP/HTTPS ISSUE DUE TO APACHE HTTPCOMPONENTS CHANGES
  • IJ26431: SECURITY APAR: FIX APACHE COMMONS-CODEC VULNERABILITY IN IMPACT 710
  • IJ26372: CANNOT SET QUERY PARAMETERS WITH THE RESTFUL POLICY FUNCTIONS

Prerequisites


- The current Impact level must be 7.1.0 Fix Pack 19.
- Impact server must be shut down.
- Impact GUI must be shut down.
- There is no specific installation order required however, note that
this Interim Fix needs to be applied to both the Impact Server and
GUI Server.

Installation Instructions

 - Installing this Interim Fix:

Navigate to the location where the Interim Fix
was extracted and then issue the following command, supplying the Impact home directory:

install_IF.bat|sh <impact_home>

For example:
install_IF.sh /opt/IBM/tivoli/impact
or
install_IF.bat "C:\Program Files\IBM\tivoli\impact"
NOTE: If applying to a single server installation, both the Impact and GUI
servers will be automatically updated in the same execution step.
- Verification:
Running the Impact versioninfo script will show if the Interim Fix has been installed:
For example:
/opt/IBM/tivoli/impact/bin/versioninfo.sh

- Rollback of Interim Fix to previous Fix Pack version
Impact 7.1.0.19 IF7 Uninstall/rollback instructions:
- Prerequisite:
- Impact server must be shut down.
- Impact GUI must be shut down.
- To uninstall the Interim Fix, issue the following command, supplying the Impact home directory.
Please note that the uninstall_IF script needs to be the one that was stored in the original Interim Fix backup directory:
<backup_directory>/install_IF/7.1.0.19_IF0007/uninstall_IF.sh <impact_home>
For example:
/opt/IBM/tivoli/impact/backup/install_IF/7.1.0.19_IF0007/uninstall_IF.sh /opt/IBM/tivoli/impact
or
C:\Program Files\IBM\tivoli\impact\backup\install_IF\7.1.0.19_IF0007\uninstall_IF.bat "C:\Program Files\IBM\tivoli\impact"
