• Closed as program error.

Error description

• You may observe slow performance after upgrading from 4.1 to
  4.2.5 when inserting to text tables.
  This is due to a regression. The insert should use Java writer
  instead of C++
  

Local fix

• add the following TBLPROPERTIES clause to the  CTAS statements
  (with text table targets):
  
     CREATE HADOOP TABLE <table name>
     TBLPROPERTIES ('bigsql.output.engine' = 'java')
     AS SELECT ... ;
