Only for Maximo: Removing PMCOM records from Maximo tables after upgrading Maximo from 7.1 > 7.5 > 7.6

Troubleshooting

Problem

Maximo Asset Management does not use Common PMP (PMCOM) objects and attributes in 7.6 and higher versions. But they could still be seen in many tables when Maximo Asset Management is upgraded from 7.1 to 7.5 > 7.6 > 7.6.1:

Symptom

During an upgrade from Maximo Asset Management 7609 to Maximo Asset Management 7.6.1.1, you notice a series of objects and attributes with names with %PMCOM% in the database.  If the application was previously upgraded from 7.1 to 7.5 and then to 7.6, common PMP records are found in the database.  Running the Integrity Checker would produce warnings showing the tables that still have PMCOM records:

MXAA0442W -- Warning - BMXAA7109W -- Column INCIDENT.PMCOMRESOLUTION is mapped to domain PMCOMRESOLUTION, but is not defined the same. INCIDENT.PMCOMRESOLUTION is ALN. PMCOMRESOLUTION is UPPER. Correct the data and try again.
BMXAA0442W -- Warning - BMXAA7109W -- Column PMCOMSR.PMCOMRESOLUTION is mapped to domain PMCOMRESOLUTION, but is not defined the same. PMCOMSR.PMCOMRESOLUTION is ALN. PMCOMRESOLUTION is UPPER. Correct the data and try again.
BMXAA0442W -- Warning - BMXAA7109W -- Column PMCOMSR.PMCOMTYPE is mapped to domain PMPTYPE, but is not defined the same. PMCOMSR.PMCOMTYPE is ALN. PMPTYPE is UPPER. Correct the data and try again.
BMXAA0442W -- Warning - BMXAA7109W -- Column PROBLEM.PMCOMRESOLUTION is mapped to domain PMCOMRESOLUTION, but is not defined the same. PROBLEM.PMCOMRESOLUTION is ALN. PMCOMRESOLUTION is UPPER. Correct the data and try again.
BMXAA0442W -- Warning - BMXAA7109W -- Column SR.PMCOMRESOLUTION is mapped to domain PMCOMRESOLUTION, but is not defined the same. SR.PMCOMRESOLUTION is ALN. PMCOMRESOLUTION is UPPER. Correct the data and try again.
BMXAA0442W -- Warning - BMXAA7109W -- Column TICKET.PMCOMRESOLUTION is mapped to domain PMCOMRESOLUTION, but is not defined the same. TICKET.PMCOMRESOLUTION is ALN. PMCOMRESOLUTION is UPPER. Correct the data and try again.
However, these warnings can be resolved by changing the affected attributes' maxtype to UPPER.
